On May 5, 2012, my husband and I were driving on Spouse Road in Prescott Valley entering the intersection with Morningstar, when a car made a left turn in directly in front of us, causing a crash, which damaged our van and hurt my neck and back. Although the police gave the other driver a ticket, it turned out that he did not have a driver’s license and had an insurance company my husband had never heard of.
My husband and I thought that the other driver’s insurance company would pay for the damage to our van and my medical bills, but every time we called them, they kept giving us the run around.
Finally, after about a half year of that with the insurance company, we decided that we were not going to get anywhere with that insurance company on our own and needed to see a lawyer. I had heard good things about McDowell & Hicks law, so I called them and made an appointment. We met with both their attorneys. Their office had a very warm and comfortable atmosphere and my husband and I found them to be very experienced, knowledgeable, confident, and friendly. They explained the claims process and gave us their evaluation of my case and recommendations for dealing with the insurance company. They patiently answered our questions about the claims process and the particulars of my claim, and when we left their office I felt much relieved that they were going to represent me.
They got started on my case right away and kept in close touch with me, with lots of personal attention, while they both were obviously very diligently working on my case. My husband and I never had to talk to a staff person. We always spoke directly with Ms. McDowell or Mr. Hicks or both, and we rarely had to call them. They called us and continued to keep me posted on all the developments in my case as they arose so that I could make good decisions which affected the outcome.
