Katherine L. McDowell is a graduate of prestigious Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where she received her B.A. in French Language and Literature and was the captain of the Skidmore College varsity swimming team. She also received an M. A. from Skidmore College. She received her law degree from the State University of New York. She then was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 2000.
She is licensed to practice law in the State Courts of Arizona and the U.S. District Court of Arizona and is a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association.
Personal Interests
She enjoys outdoor recreation, including hiking and fly-fishing, classical music, art, and reading.
Gerald L. Hicks

Gerald L. Hicks is licensed to practice law in the state courts of three states, which include Arizona, New York, and New Jersey, as well as in federal court, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey. He has practiced law since 1992 and is a former member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Gerald Lee Hicks was born in Chicago, Illinois. In his high-school days, Lee was selected to the Chicago All-City football team and to the All-Northern Illinois football team and served as captain of his high-school’s wrestling team. He is a graduate of Princeton University in Princeton New Jersey, where he received his B.A. degree and played football and wrestled for Princeton. He graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut, where he was an Associate Editor of a law journal, a member of the Law School’s trial competition team, and graduated with honors.
He became a lawyer because he has always rooted for the underdog and believed he could use his own unique combination of education, experience, and talents to protect the individual who is injured and suffering because of the negligent or wrongful acts of others.
Personal Interests
Lee enjoys outdoor recreation in the great Arizona outdoors, including hiking the trails in the Prescott National Forest lands surrounding Prescott and fly-fishing the streams and lakes of Arizona, as well as reading and listening to a wide variety of music. He is also a Chicago Bears football, Chicago Cubs baseball, and Princeton football fan.
